Lake Eildon itself is one of Victoria's largest inland lakes, with over 500 kilometers of shoreline, sheltered bays and safe swimming areas.  Here you can participate in exhilarating water sports such as water-skiing, kayaking and wake boarding, as well as the more leisurely pastimes of swimming, fishing and house boating, and as Lake Eildon National Park surrounds much of the lake's shoreline the area is very popular with bush walkers.
